All kinds of action... one zone.

Karate

is a Japanese martial art whose physical aspects seek the development of defensive and counterattacking body movements. The themes of traditional karate training are fighting and self-defense, though its mental and moral aspects target the overall improvement of the individual. We train in Shotokan style, welcoming martial artists of all levels and belts.

Kickboxing

is a full-contact hybrid martial art and boxing type based on punching and kicking. The fight takes place in a boxing ring, normally with boxing gloves, mouth guards, shorts, and bare feet to favor the use of kicks. Kickboxing is practiced for self-defense, general fitness, or for competition.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

is a self-defensive martial art and combat sport based on grappling, ground fighting, and submission holds. BJJ focuses on taking ones opponent down to the ground, gaining a dominant position, and using a number of techniques to force them into submission via joint locks, chokeholds or compression locks. Our BJJ class gives students tools to protect themselves in real-world scenarios and support students in their personal goals for self-defense.

Why Martial Arts?

Martial arts practice increases not only physical strength, agility, and mobility, but also your discipline. The team at Zone MA believes strongly that martial arts is a way of life beyond the dojo that benefits mental and spiritual wellbeing.
